Is Life Fair? Short Answer, No. Long Answer, Nooooooo
I understand that there’s a lot of important prophecy matters going on all around us and we need to be fully aware of what is happening. We are told to be watchers, thus we need to be diligent in doing this. —- After saying that, all of us realize life goes on until the end. The end will be here ‘on time’ whether we are ready or not. Perhaps the end will arrive tonight, tomorrow, next week, next month, or…
Because life goes on until ‘the end’ we continue to live life the best we can, day in and day out. I know some of us are struggling in life because of past and current life events. My guess is most of us have lingering or current life stressors that we regularly have to deal with – and these life stressors can have a serious impact on how we live life (and the decisions we make). Won’t it be great when we no longer have to deal with all the physical problems of this life?
Have you ever said this: “Dear life, when I asked if my day could get any worse, it was a rhetorical question, not a challenge”. I know there are complications and problems in our lives that just seem to ‘happen’ and these difficulties can turn our lives upside down. Has this ever happened to you? I can raise my hand on this one, quite a few times. However some of us may have problems in life because, at least in part, due to two reasons: we act without thinking or we keep thinking without acting. Does this make sense?
In the past (my younger days) it seemed like I never made the same mistake twice. I made it three, four times, you know, just to be sure. My guess is at least a few of you know what I’m talking about. It’s difficult to make positive changes in one’s life – at least that’s been my experience. Perhaps you may find it easier making changes than I did. I now have the attitude that I enjoy what I can and endure what I must. Of course, now I have a strength that I didn’t have in the past – that is the strength that the Father gives me to deal with the hurricanes and tornadoes of life. Plus, I’m making better decisions, thus, less big mistakes. As I’ve said many times before “I’m not perfect, I miss the mark daily”. Good thing for me the Father has patience (plus He forgives).
I’m a firm believer that if we aim at nothing in life, our accuracy will be immense. Remember that with each new day is another chance to change our life.
Getting back to the title: “Is Life Fair? Short Answer, No. Long Answer, Nooooooo”. I don’t think I’m spilling the beans by saying “life is not fair!” Our choice of long ago, in our first estate, set us up for much pain, suffering, unfairness, and a lack of real choices, throughout our many existences. However, probably for the first time since leaving our heavenly home we have a very important choice to make right now. This, perhaps, is the first time in human history that the truth has been ‘revealed’ to a group of very special individuals – us.
You ask “what is the choice?” The choice is, after everything we have gone through in this ‘very unfair’ physical life, will we choose the truth? Will we accept the sun/son? Will we walk that less traveled narrow path? Or, will we turn away from the truth because it’s different from what the religions of the world teach. Will we hold on to those deceitful shards of past religious beliefs? Will we tell the Father “thanks, but no thanks” concerning His truth?
We can’t allow the struggles and defeats of this life to hamper our search for truth. I firmly believe we are close to the end. While this life is very unfair there’s a much better life just ahead. I’ll end with the same question I started with “Is Life Fair? Short Answer, No. Long Answer, Nooooooo”. PS: Remember Prayer – this is where we get the strength to overcome the adversities in our life. As always, your comments are welcome.
